کبھی کبھی اپنا آپ سفر لگتا ہے . زیرو، جسکی کوئی جگہ نہیں. بلکل بےکار. لیکن سفر کی ضرورت تو ہر عدد کو ہوتی ہے. کچھ بننے کے لئے سفر جس عدد کے ساتھ لگے اسکی قدرو قیمت کئی گنا بڑھا دیتا ہے. تو اگر تم اپنے آپ کو سفر سمجھتے ہو، تب بھی قیمتی ہو. تب بھی تم بےکار نہیں. تب بھی تم ہر گنتی سے پہلے آؤ گے. ہر گنتی کا آغاز تمہی سے ہو گا. اور ہر ٩ عدد کے بعد ١ دفع تمہاری ضرورت پڑھے گی. اگلے مور پر جانے کے لئے تبدیلی جب بھی آے گی  تم سے آے گی. سفر سے آے گی.   Durr-e-Shahwar

A friend who cares

Searching for Meaning

When you are encountered by a suffering, it is not the physical pain that comes with the unexpected loss that, but the mental agony caused by the injustice and the unreasonableness of it all. It is then, that one needs to understand the reality of life, which is that life is not primarily a quest for pleasure, as Freud believed, or a quest for power, as Alfred Adler taught, but a quest for meaning . Even in the gravest situations, the greatest task for any person is to find meaning in his or her life.  They say that there can be three possible sources for meaning: at work, when you are doing something significant, in love when you care for another person, and in courage during difficult times.  Suffering in and of itself is meaningless; we give our suffering meaning by the way in which we respond to it. At one point, a person may remain brave, dignified and unselfish, or in the bitter fight for self-preservation he may forget his human dignity and...

That's her!

Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on. Life never gives, it only lends

Life never gives, it only lends. No matter how much you want your life to change, it does not change unless it has to. We might think that we are trying too much, or not trying hard enough; but the truth is - it seems that its all been written in the books... for better, for worse, sickness, health... everything. It does not matter if you want roses, or you prefer diamonds, life only gives what it can lend by the books. Is there anything we can do about it? Yes there is. The only thing we can do is learn to live with what we have and pretend to make the most of it. And when things are not the way we want them to be, we need to keep the game face on so that we can pretend that every thing is fine and secretly keep telling ourselves that its going to be okay. Magic Moments

One doesn’t love in order to do what is good or to help or to protect someone. If we act that way, we are perceiving the other as a simple object, and we seeing ourselves as wise and generous persons. This has nothing to do with love. To love is to be in communion with the other and to discover in that other the spark of God. You have to take risks. Expectations of Others

A friend visited me once in Los Angeles. He wanted me to drive him out to see the Pacific Ocean, since he had never seen an ocean before. We got in my car and drove to a bluff overlooking the Pacific on a beautiful sunny day. My friend got out of the car, walked to the edge of the cliff, and stood in silence for a while - hands on his hips, just looking out at the vast expanse of gently rolling waves sparkling in the sunlight for hundreds and hundreds of miles. Finally, he turned and said to me, “John, it’s not as big as I expected.”  As we walked back to my car, I turned for a last look before we drove away. I may be wrong, but the Pacific Ocean seemed unfazed by its failure to meet my friend’s expectations. There is a little practical lesson here on how silly it is to live and die on the expectations of others. Declaration of Principles

Letting go

Letting go is an art of living. More often than not, you may desperately want to relive a happy moment, go back to the blossoms last spring and enjoy that walk again, say goodbye just one last time... but the only thing you can do is to learn from your mistakes and move forward. Find a new place to enjoy, look for closure in new goodbyes, enjoy company of the friends you have right now and live the moments today, so that when you look back the next time, you can actually feel blessed to have a past that you can cherish for a lifetime.

Unreal

The unreal is always more powerful than the real, because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. The only ideas, concepts, beliefs and fantasies that last are the ones that are in your head. For those who are in Love

Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love. ~ Neil Gaiman
